The Certified Professional – Food Safety (CP-FS) credential has been created for those individuals who need to show or desire to demonstrate their knowledge in food safety. NEHA updated this credential with professionals from both the public and private sectors in mind. Recipients of the credential understand food microbiology and hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) principles and maintain knowledge of the regulatory requirements in the most recent food codes.
CP-FS credential holders work in varied retail food settings, such as quality assurance or quality control manager, facility manager, food-safe chemical supplier, or in a regulatory food safety position such as an inspector/investigator. CP-FS holders can conduct facility plan reviews and evaluate hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) plans.
We will provide you with information on each of these topics to deepen your understanding of what’s needed to perform well in the kitchen and on the exam.
Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to hear directly from others who have the CP-FS credential and test your own understanding with knowledge check questions.
